Once in a while I also make these so called "Stubby Chisels", chisels with the same characteristics as bench chisels but only shorter. Some people prefer them for small delicate work like Kumiko or for work in tight places. The blade length is 75mm (3") with a slightly longer handle. For reference a picture of two chisels I made years ago. These two chisels are fitted with brass ferules and Pau Amerillo handles. Steel: O1 (1.2510), width: 30mm (1 3/16") and 6mm (1/4")
