It’s been a long
time since I have posted something on this blog. The last chisel I made was two
years ago right before I got married. Since then life has been full of other
priorities so making chisels has been on the back burner. But a while ago I
started a new project with bench chisels, paring chisels, firmer chisels and
butt chisels. I have always wanted to make a set of chisels for myself to keep
but somehow I always ended up selling them to other fans of good woodworking
tools. 😊 Hopefully this time there will be some left for me! 😉I’m
also making a new type of paring chisel, more in line with the traditional cabinet
makers paring chisel style wise. They are longer than my standard paring
chisels (225mm (8.8”) blade length) and 6mm (1/4”) thick and will be witted
with a long, sleek handle. Currently I’m making four of them as a test, stay
tuned!
Good to see you back! The one paring-chisel I've from you is still my #1!
